Billed as a rom-com, the director says his film conveys the message that we live only once and that life should be lived in an idealistic manner

We had earlier reported that S Sam, who had served as an assistant director to filmmakers Ameer Sultan and Samuthirakani, will make his directorial debut with Yolo, an acronym for You Only Live Once. The film went on floors in July last year.

The latest update is that the film’s first single will be released on Saturday. The announcement was made along with the first look poster of the film.

Billed as a rom-com, the director says his film conveys the message that we live only once and that life should be lived in an idealistic manner. He adds that the breezy and entertaining screenplay will carry this message.

Apart from the main cast, the film also features Badava Gopi, Praveen, Swati Nair, Akash Prem, Nithi Pradeep, Divakar, Yuvaraj, and Dileep Kumar, among others.

The film’s screenplay is written by Sam, Rams Murugan (who also takes the story credit), and Panbu Selvan. The rest of the technical crew includes cinematographer Sooraj Nallusami, editor AL Ramesh, music director Sukishna Xavier, art director Sampath Thilak, and stunt director ‘Danger’ Mani.
